The short version: SQLBackup doesn't collect your data, because it has nowhere to send it. Last updated 26 June 2026.
SQLBackup runs entirely on your own machines. It connects only to the databases and storage destinations you configure. It does not phone home, send usage analytics, or transmit any of your data to the authors or any third party. Your encryption password and credentials stay in your environment and are never transmitted to us.
This marketing website is static and aims to collect as little as possible. If you submit the contact form, the information you provide (name, email, message) is used solely to respond to you. We do not sell or share it. Standard server logs may record basic request metadata (such as IP address and user agent) for security and operational purposes.
The website does not set tracking or advertising cookies. Any storage used is strictly functional.
When you configure cloud destinations (for example Amazon S3 or an SFTP host), your interactions with those providers are governed by their own privacy policies. SQLBackup simply uses the credentials you supply to talk to them on your behalf.
You own your data and your encryption keys at all times. Because backups are encrypted client-side, even your storage provider sees only ciphertext.
If this policy changes, we will update the date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
